Voile Evasion is delighted to offer sailing courses this summer on a unique, high-performance catamaran, the TS 52.8, in Greece during the first 2 weeks of July and September 2023. She was designed by the famous ocean racer, Francis Joyon, recorman of the Jules Vernes Trophy and winner of the Route du Rhum.
Highly sought-after for its exceptional performance, this boat has been optimised for performance (asymmetric carbon daggerboards, carbon rudders, new 2021 sails, structure, rotating mast and carbon cross), but also for comfort (2 indoor showers, outdoor shower, electric toilet, 2 fridges, 4 double berths and 2 single berths using lightweight, designer materials). The boat has a very high level of autonomy (solar panels, hydrogenerators, lithium batteries).
Here are the dates for the summer 2023 courses:
- From 1 to 8 July 2023
- From 8 to 15 July 2023
- From 2 to 9 September 2023
- From 9 to 16 September 2023
Sailing area :
Departure base: Kilada from Athens (Athens is served daily by Olympic Airways and Air France, taxis and shuttles are available from Athens (€200 for 8 people one way: Mikalis taxi minibus which will make the connection, just call 00306937311000 on behalf of Didier Chessel/Kilada Yacht Service).
Between Athens and the south-east of the Peloponnese, there are two options, the choice of which will be influenced in part by the weather conditions:
- Passing through the entrance to the Argolic Gulf (Nafplion) (north-east coast of the Peloponnese) with a recommended stopover on the island of Spetses, a pretty, lively port with a rich history.
- Descend or ascend through the chain of islands that delimit the western part of the Cyclades (Kea to the north, Milos to the south). In Milos, the volcanic coastline is carved with caves and strangely shaped rocks. The colours are incredible.
The two options to the east of the Peloponnese meet on the south-east coast of the peninsula at Monemvassia, the Gibraltar of the East north of Cape Maléa; it's a must-see stopover with its fortified rock.
