A look back at the magnificent 2026 Skippers Cup in the BVI… and our top destinations accessible by car this summer

Madame, Monsieur,

The 2026 Skippers Cup, organised by Skippers magazine and Voile Evasion, took place in the BVI (British Virgin Islands) from 2 to 9 May.

The event brought together more than 40 participants across seven crews aboard Sunsail 424 sailing yachts, setting sail from the Tortola base.

This week of sailing was marked by a fantastic atmosphere amongst the crews, daily regattas and a packed programme of exploration in the heart of the British Virgin Islands archipelago.

As they made their way from port to port, the crews sailed between Tortola, Norman Island, Virgin Gorda, Anegada, Scrub Island, Marina Cay, Guana Island, Jost Van Dyke and Smuggler’s Cove, enjoying a mix of regattas, idyllic anchorages, white sandy beaches, turquoise waters and convivial evenings in some of the Caribbean’s most beautiful spots.

An ideal itinerary to explore over 7 or 10 days (click on the map below for more information on this incredible sailing area).

See the best photos and the video produced by John from Krew production, along with comments from participants, below.

The next event will take place in 2028; please contact me if you have any questions or are interested.
