Discover the British Virgin Islands on a cabin cruise
The British Virgin Islands offer a protected stretch of water ideal for sailing. They are within bow range of St. Martin, which you will reach by one of the many direct flights serving the island. You will embark in Marigot (a few minutes from the Princess Juliana International Airport), on board your magnificent catamaran before sailing to the BVI.
Itinerary in the Virgin Islands
Here are the details of the route taken by your sailboat and its crew:
Day 1 - Saturday
You will be welcomed at 6:00 pm at the Marina Fort Louis located in the heart of Marigot, about 15 minutes from the international airport of "Juliana" and the regional airport "Espérance". Remember to bring US dollars before boarding the boat (exchange offices available at the marina).
Upon arrival: welcome cocktail, briefing on the course of the cruise and installation in your cabins.
Then dinner on board and a 12-hour night crossing to the British Virgin Islands.
Day 2 - Sunday
When you wake up, you will be in sight of Virgin Gorda in the Virgin Islands.
Breakfast and a short sail to a mythical place in the BVI: The Baths, just south of Virgin Gorda.
The Baths is a gigantic scree of large polished rocks set in white sand, caves and natural pools form an unreal and beautiful landscape. You can freely wander and swim in this unique landscape.
In Devil's Bay, you can visit the small souvenir stores.
Lunch is served in this idyllic setting and then we head to Norman Island for a 2-hour sail.
Arrival at the end of the day, and anchorage at The Bight for the night.
Day 3 - Monday
Breakfast and a short sail to the fabulous snorkeling site of The Caves on Norman Island, a meeting point with an accessible underwater world.
After this aquatic discovery, you will reach the superb sandy beach of White Bay on the island of Jost Van Dyke where your lunch will be served at anchor. Swimming, snorkeling and free aperitif at the famous Soggy Dollar Bar.
In the late afternoon, change of scenery for the nearby Great Harbour to discover a new anchorage for dinner and overnight. For those who wish, we will go to Foxy's bar for a mythical evening in the company of the island's patriarch.
Day 4 - Tuesday
Departure at 8:00 am for a 20 minute sail to Sandy Cay, an islet planted with coconut trees and surrounded by white sand or, depending on the wind direction, to Sandy Split: an ideal, dreamy island to enjoy in the morning. After lunch, you will sail towards Cane Garden Bay.
Dinner and overnight at anchor.
Day 5 - Wednesday
Breakfast at Cane Garden Bay.
In the morning, it is time to sail to Anegada Island*.
Unlike the other Virgin Islands, Anegada is a coral atoll 19km long and a little less than 5km wide with a highest point of 8 meters. The arrival on Pomato bay offers a paradisiacal vision with its long white sandy beach of an exceptional fineness, you will bathe in crystal clear waters.
At the end of the day you will reach the Setting Point anchorage. If you have always dreamed of enjoying a lobster on a Caribbean beach then this is the place to be!
*In case of bad weather, the stopover at Anegada will be replaced by Cooper Island and its beautiful snorkeling spot at Cistern Point.
Day 6 - Thursday
After breakfast, early departure for Virgin Gorda Sound and Liverick Bay. Lunch at Prickly Pear. Snorkeling and a last swim in the Virgin Islands before the return trip upwind to St. Martin, which is always a little longer than the outward journey because of the trade winds.
Day 7 - Friday
Arrival at Grand Case on the island of St. Martin. Breakfast and then direction to the Tintamarre Island Nature Reserve. Magnificent snorkeling, frequent presence of turtles in the bay.
Lunch on board, relaxing day, swimming and beach, before returning at the end of the day to the Creole village of Grand Case.
Thanks to its numerous local or upscale restaurants, Grand Case is known as the capital of the French West Indies gastronomy. Dinner and night at anchor.
Day 8 - Saturday
Breakfast and disembarkation at the Marina Fort Louis in the heart of Marigot at 9am.

Weather
The climate of the British Virgin Islands is tropical, warm but pleasant all year round thanks to the presence of trade winds. During the high season (November to April), temperatures average around 25 degrees. The low season (May to October) is characterized by warmer and more humid temperatures, around 28 degrees.
