Two proposed itineraries :

Itinerary Corsica nord

This itinerary takes you to discover a wild coast, rich in creeks and creeks, including the famous Piana creeks. From the Gulf of Girolata, one of Corsica's wonders, to the visit of Calvi, or Cargese: you will alternate lazing around and stopovers full of history.

Itinerary South Corsica :

After the splendid gulf of Valenco, you will enjoy the wild anchorages of Sénétose, you will discover the magnificent Bonifacio and then the incredible Lavezzi Islands. On the way back you will stop at Rocapina and Propriano and in the most beautiful creeks.

Itinerary North Corsica

Here are the details of the itinerary taken by your catamaran for charter by cabin and its crew :

Day 1 - Ajaccio

Embarkation in Ajaccio at the end of the afternoon. Departure around 6:00 pm, heading for Sainte Barbe in the bay of Ajaccio, dinner and anchorage for the night.

Day 2 - Ajaccio - Sagone - Cargèse - about 04h00

After breakfast, head for the bay of Sagone or the village of Cargese (depending on weather conditions). The village of Sagone is a small fishing port nestled at the end of a vast bay bordered by a long white sandy beach. 

A few miles away, Cargèse, consists of a small marina on the one hand and a typical village created by successive Greek colonies on the other hand, on the heights. Lunch at anchor, nautical activities, idleness, discovery of the village. Dinner.

Day 3 - Sagone/ Cargèse - Golfe de Porto - Girolata- about 03h00

After breakfast, you will walk along a wild coast with jagged points and deep creeks, you will discover Cala di Palù and its famous stone totems and finally the characteristic "Sugar Loaf" rock. Mooring and lunch at "La Piscine", a cove lined with steep rocks. 

You can then enjoy swimming, snorkeling or sea kayaking. After lunch, you will sail to Piana and its famous creeks, vast caves penetrating the cliffs; then to the gulf of Porto, a UNESCO World Heritage site. You will sail around Capo Cenino before reaching one of the geological and marine wonders of Corsica: the Gulf of Girolata, its Genoese bastion and its fishing village. Anchorage for the night in the Girolata cove.

Day 4 - Girolata - Calvi - about 04h00

After breakfast, head for the Scandola Land and Marine Reserve. A jagged coastline, lined with reefs and islets with tortured shapes, the protected reserve of Scandola is one of the most beautiful geological phenomena in Corsica. 

Throughout the reserve, only one daytime anchorage is authorized, which allows for a temporary stopover and a visit to this veritable labyrinth of islands and reefs. Possibility of snorkeling to contemplate the drop-offs that descend to the abyssal depths of this preserved coast and to admire the passage of multiple fish. Lunch at anchor in Scandola, swimming and then departure for Calvi. 

Calvi, dominated by the Genoese for centuries, claims that the famous Christopher Columbus was born there. All the quays of the city are now lined with lively bars and restaurants. Above, the narrow streets of the city wind their way to the superb citadel. Anchorage for the night in front of the marina.

Day 5 - Calvi - Golfe de la Revallata - Girolata - about 03h00

In the morning, free time to visit Calvi and then sail to the Gulf of Revallata: swimming, relaxation, snorkeling, kayaking. After lunch, sail to Girolata... South of Calvi, the landscapes become wild and steep, carved in a dazzling red granite. 

It is unquestionably on board a boat that this coastline offers its most beautiful views and the privilege of admiring the Scandola nature reserve, listed in 1983 by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site (the only reserve in Europe to be both marine and terrestrial). 

The volcanic origin, the work of the water and the wind, have shaped breathtaking landscapes, between steep cliffs, red rocks with tortured shapes and totally virgin creeks. 

A little further south, discover the small fishing village of Girolata, one of the few places on the coast that is both inaccessible by road and still inhabited. Nautical activities then anchor for the night in Cala Muretta or Cala Vecchia.

Day 6 - Baie de Girolata - Capo Rosso - Cala Di Palù - Sagone / Cargèse - about 03h00

A new stopover in the vicinity of Capo Rosso and its many promontories, to visit the sites that could not be visited on the outward journey. Finally, sailing to Cargese, a picturesque fishing and yachting port, which has become a seaside resort with a Mediterranean atmosphere. Its history was marked by the installation of a Greek colony in the 17th century. Swimming, relaxation, water activities and then anchorage for the night.

Day 7 - Baie de Sagone - Baie d'Ajaccio - about 04h00

Sailing in the bay of Sagone in the morning, anchorage for lunch then sail to Ajaccio. Arrival in Ajaccio at the end of the afternoon then visit of the city. Through the narrow streets of the old town, you will be able to appreciate the Napoleonic route or simply enjoy the animation of the quays.

Disembarkation at 8:00 a.m.

Day 2 - Ajaccio - Valenco - about 03h00

Sailing towards the Gulf of Valenco whose beauty is celebrated by many Corsican songs. Anchorage in Porto Pollo for lunch after having rounded the islets and reefs of Taravù: swimming, sea kayaking, lazing around. 

For the amateurs, an annexed approach of the Taravù rocks will allow you to reach a very beautiful site of snorkeling. 

After lunch, sail to the Gulf of Valenco and the bay of Campo Moro. The village of Campo Moro was originally a simple fishing village made up of a few grey granite buildings. Today it has retained its authentic charm. Along the shore, there are a few bars, restaurants and shops. Visit of the bastion, located on the point of Campo Moro; anchorage for the night.

Day 3 - Golfe de Valenco - Senetose - about 02h00

Head for Sénétose and its magnificent wild anchorages, then lunch at the Anse d'Arana: swimming, lazing around, kayaking or snorkeling. 

Apparatus for Bonifacio. The whole coast after Acula is indented by tiny fjords. On the tip of Rocapina, a pile of rocks reminds one of a lion lying down. Arrival at the end of the afternoon in the pearl of southern Corsica: Bonifacio, as magnificent as it is spectacular! The entrance to the port of Bonifacio is among the most impressive there is, as it is dominated by an immense limestone cliff on which the fortified upper town stands.

Day 4 - Bonifacio - Archipel des Lavezzi - about 03h00

After breakfast, departure for the Lavezzi Islands. 

The spectacular appearance of this rocky mass gives the impression that we have returned to the Stone Age. Classified as a land and marine reserve, it essentially protects a rare species of seagulls called "pouffins" which nest in the hollow of these vast rocks and the many fish sheltered in its turquoise waters. Up to its highest peak, the rocks, by piling up one on top of the other, even form small interior rooms with granite walls polished by erosion. 

Lunch at anchor in this paradise place then swimming and water activities. Anchorage for the night on the island of Piana, a natural reserve where the water is so clear that you can see the white sand bottoms, at a depth of 3 or 4 meters.

Day 5 - Anse de Rocapina - about 03h00

After breakfast nautical activities in particular snorkeling in a real aquarium and / or idleness. 

After lunch, it's off to Rocapina, his little cove, at the foot of his lion. Anchorage for the night.

Day 6 - Anse de Rocapina- Golfe de Valenco - Propriano - about 03h00

After breakfast, nautical activities, lazing around, swimming. Departure for Propriano after lunch. Sailing along the coast of the Gulf of Valenco then arrival at Propriano. The houses of this small town border the whole coast around the typical Corsican port animated by numerous bars and restaurants. The whole is quite charming and relatively calm even in the heart of summer. Visit of the village, shopping.

Day 7 - Propriano - Ajaccio - about 3h

Departure in the morning for Ajaccio with a stopover in front of the Isolella tower. Lunch at anchor in front of a beautiful beach where you can also indulge in some water sports such as sea kayaking or snorkelling before boarding your catamaran to head for Ajaccio. Arrival in Ajaccio at the end of the afternoon then visit of the city. Through the alleys of the old town, you can enjoy its Napoleonic journey or simply enjoy the animation of the quays.

Weather

The prevailing wind in this region of the Mediterranean generally blows from the northwest. From April to October there is a phenomenon of thermal breezes in the afternoon. The winds are often stronger in the gulfs and on the headlands, the anchorages are generally calm at night. The Mistral can sometimes blow hard from the Gulf of Lion and raise a strong sea on the west coast of Corsica. Your itinerary will be decided according to the weather and sea conditions. The water temperature varies from 18 to 29°C, ideal for the success of your sailing cruise in Corsica. During the summer months, from May to September, the winds are on average force 3 to 5.
