In early June, we set sail once again for another Wingfoil & Kitesurf cruise, setting off from Kos in the stunning Dodecanese archipelago in Greece. Aboard our catamaran, we set out to explore spots accessible only by sea, amidst turquoise waters, unspoilt islands and traditional villages.
The weather forecast, however, was far from ideal: the Meltemi, the Aegean Sea’s iconic thermal wind, hadn’t quite settled in yet, and the models were predicting very little wind. But it would take a lot more than that to stop us!
So we set off in search of the katabatic winds sweeping down from the mountains and the gusts created by the Venturi effect between the islands. This strategy enabled us to enjoy some superb wingfoiling and kitesurfing sessions, far from the crowds, amidst breathtaking scenery.
